Bellevue man sentenced for receipt of child porn
OMAHA, Neb. -- A Bellevue man was sentenced to 14 years in prison Thursday in Omaha for child porn charges.
Acting U.S. Attorney Steven Russell announced that 38-year-old Jacob R. Price of Bellevue, was sentenced Thursday in federal court by Chief United States District Judge Robert F. Rossiter, Jr. to 168 months in prison for receipt of child pornography.
After his release from prison, Price will begin a five-year term of supervised release and will be required to register as a sex offender. There is no parole in the federal system.
Court documents said that on Nov. 9, 2020, officers with the Bellevue Police Department were dispatched to a residence in Bellevue.
When officers arrived, they were informed that the reporting party found a video of a naked minor on a cellphone previously used by Price.
Officers forensically analyzed the contents of the cellphone and located a video showing a minor getting undressed.
The video showed Price secretively placing the cellphone in the minor’s bedroom for the purpose of videoing the minor while she was naked.
The cellphone also contained additional thumbnail images of unknown minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct that Price downloaded from the internet.
