Guam - The Guam Election Commission's board of directors will meet this afternoon as they look to resolve dozens of complaints that were filed following the Decision 2010 General Election held almost one month ago. The board's subcommittee has been reviewing the complaints and members are expected to go over the remainder of those issues tonight.
While Governor-elect and Lieutenant Governor-elect Eddie Calvo and Ray Tenorio, respectively, are waiting on the board to sign the Certificates of Election, some board members have expressed hesitation. Gutierrez/Aguon committee member and GEC board member Josh Tenorio has refused to sign the documents until all of the complaints have been addressed.
The complaints are similar to those outlined in a pair of lawsuits the Democratic gubernatorial team has filed in the local and federal courts seeking to have the results of the gubernatorial race thrown out and another election held immediately.
