Three arrested in Mangilao traffic stop, drugs and stolen vehicle alleged
A routine traffic stop in Mangilao early Sunday morning led to the arrest of three men after police discovered drugs and a suspected stolen vehicle.
According to a magistrate’s complaint filed in the Superior Court of Guam, officers stopped a red and gray Mazda CX-5 without license plates near Route 15 and earound 7:45 a.m.
Police say the driver, 29-year-old Brandon Lee Meno, told officers the vehicle was one “you guys have been looking for,” referencing a robbery at Guam Premier Outlets. Authorities later determined the vehicle was reported stolen.
A police detector dog alerted to several areas of the vehicle, where officers say they recovered methamphetamine near passengers 27-year-old Jujuanquin Toves Taisague and 28-year-old Eric John Anderson, Jr. Another substance found in a sock inside the vehicle allegedly tested positive for meth.
Meno is charged with theft of a motor vehicle by receiving and possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Taisague and anderson are each charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
Court documents state both Meno and Anderson were already on felony release in separate drug cases, while taisague was on probation in a 2024 case.
