Firefighting is a very dangerous job, but you also get to have some fun while serving your community.
If you've been making your way around the island lately, you may have seen a curious sight: Guam Fire Department trucks blasting large volumes of water in public parks. Not to worry, there's no emergencies – it's our heroes conducting training on the techniques and technology they'll use in real-life situations.
This is a confidence exercise where veteran firefighters supervise rookies, several just fresh out of the academy, on handling the water cannon which deploys hundreds of gallons per minute several dozen meters away in order to suppress fires.
