Governor Lou Leon Guerrero is set to deliver a State of Economy Address to the Guam Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday morning, speaking directly to  business leaders and workers at their general membership meeting at the Hilton Guam Resort and Spa. 

A release from Adelup says the address marks a "defining moment in Guam’s growing resurgence" and outlines "the choices now required to sustain it."

The governor’s remarks will emphasize that “Guam has moved beyond crisis and stabilization– and now stands at a points where deliberate leadership will determine whether recent gains translate into lasting opportunity for businesses, workers, and families across the island.”

Her address is expected to cover everything from global shifts in tourism and the unprecedented scale of the military buildup to private sector growth and workforce development. 

Adelup states the governor’s remarks “will call on government, business, and workers alike to prepare for change, compete in evolving markets and partner to ensure that opportunity is broad-bases, affordable and durable.”
