Weather system brings heavy rain threat

The National Weather Service and Weather Forecast Office Guam is monitoring a broad and disorganized tropical disturbance, Invest 92W, expected to pass between Yap and Guam Thursday night into Friday.
At this time, the Joint Typhoon Warning Center continues to rate Invest 92W as low, meaning significant tropical cyclone development is unlikely within the next 24 hours.
Guam can expect partly to mostly cloudy conditions with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. Urban and small stream flooding is possible, as 1-2" of rain have already fallen, with an additional 1-2" inches expected.
Residents and visitors are urged to take precautions: those in flood-prone areas should clear drainage areas and unblock storm drains, stay updated with the latest weather information, use caution when driving in heavy rain due to low visibility and slippery roads and slow down where water is ponding on roadways.
