Man accused of threatening CHamoru Village worker

According to court documents, a man with an extensive criminal history is facing new charges after allegedly threatening to kill a worker at CHamoru Village.
Police say the incident happened Wednesday at the Festival of the Pacific Arts huts—an alcohol-free zone—where a worker approached a group of men who were reportedly drinking. One man, later identified as 37-year-old Hank George Flores, allegedly became aggressive, threatened to kill the worker, and said he wasn’t afraid of police because “the drugs are better in jail,” the magistrate’s complaint states.
Another man intervened and left the area with Flores. Officers later found Flores sleeping near Chalan Santo Papa and Martyr Street, where he reportedly repeated the same statement about jail.
At the police precinct, Flores denied drinking and accused the worker of lying—before officers had shared details of the investigation.
Flores was charged with terrorizing as a third-degree felony and ordered held on $3,000 cash bail.
Records from the Office of the Attorney General show he has 14 prior arrests and 8 convictions.
