As is our island's very proud local tradition each year, Guam is home to the first child born in the New Year on United States soil - and Baby 2026 is a happy little boy! Just before lunch at 11:47am, Lucas Arthur Tiozon Quejado came into the world at the Guam Memorial Hospital to proud parents Olda Tiozon and Arturo Quejado, Jr.

Dr. Jonathan Sidell delivered Lucas, who is a healthy is 7 lbs. 8 oz. and 50cm long.

As the year's first baby, Lucas's family will receive a prize package from Archway, Inc., with nearly $15,000 in gifts, cash and gift certificates from over 30 local businesses and private donors. This is the 22nd straight year Archway has overseen the gift package donation to the family.
