As Guam prepares to turn the page on a new year, Governor Lou Leon Guerrero and Lieutenant Governor Josh Tenorio say this moment is about more than reflection—it’s about recognizing the resilience, compassion, and unity that carried the island through every challenge, proving once again that Guam’s greatest strength has always been its people

Tenorio said, "The New Year is always a chance to pause and look inward. It gives us space to appreciate the lessons learned, the people who lifted us up, and the moments that shaped us. It is also a reminder that growth does not come all at once. It comes through small choices, steady effort, and the willingness to keep moving forward."

Leon Guerrero added, "And as we turn the page, we carry with us a renewed sense of purpose. The coming year brings real opportunities for our families and our island. We are building stronger schools, modernizing the services our people depend on, investing in our health care system, and creating new paths for our workforce. These efforts are not just projects. They are promises we are working to deliver on for every household across Guam."

They conclude their address  stating that together, they step into the new year with open hearts and a shared commitment to make Guam a better place for us.
