Next Monday, July 27, 2020, KUAM FM Radio (93.9FM) will become Breeze 93.9FM - ushering in a new era in local broadcasting. Breeze 93.9FM will blow through our island and global community (streaming on the KUAM News mobile app) with the most popular adult contemporary music from the 70s through popular hits of the 2000s.

The new format will provide audiences of all generations comfort and familiarity; needed more than ever in these uncertain times. Each weekday morning on Breeze (6am to 10am) will kick off The Link hosted by award winning journalist Sabrina Salas Matanane and the notorious Chris Barnett.

The Link features news, information, humor, interaction with audiences and local happenings. Salas Matanane says, “We hope to be that link to connect viewers and listeners all over the world to our local community.” The Link will also be live streamed on the KUAM News facebook page and the first half of the show will be televised on the stations of KUAM.

For over 66 years, KUAM Radio has been bringing entertainment, news and information to the local community as Guam’s first local radio station.  KUAM CEO, Marie Calvo Monge says, “Over the years you’ve heard everything from showtunes to hip hop on our station, but one thing has remained constant - our commitment to our listeners and community.” She adds, “broadcast radio, celebrating its centennial this year, is still the most immediate way to connect with the community. Coupled with our innovations in the integration of digital and social media to our operation, the impact and influence of KUAM Communications is unsurpassed. “
