The recent federal ban on cockfighting has many locals up in arms.

While groups have rallied together hoping to challenge the ban, Guam's newly elected Attorney General Leevin Camacho said his hands are tied.

"So my job is going to enforce local laws," he said."I understand there is a federal statute that's been passed banning cockfighting and that really falls under the discretion of the U.S. Attorney here and whether or not they're going to be out actively enforcing the federal ban on it. But if it's not criminal under our local law, I don't know what business I would have."

Sen. Jose "Pedo" Terlaje recently wrote to Congressman Michael San Nicolas on the matter urging he take action.
