Guam - While several hearings were held on the proposal in 2014, the first public roundtable for the year on a new hybrid retirement system is set for tomorrow afternoon. Bill 2 was introduced by Vice Speaker BJ Cruz.  The hybrid plan will be available as a retirement plan option to Government of Guam employees and mandated for new hires on or after January 1, 2016. The proposal includes both a defined "floor" of benefits and a deferred compensation program as the defined contribution component. The roundtable hearing is set for Wednesday at 2pm at the Guam Legislature's Public Hearing Room.
