Guam is hosting a significant gathering of Catholic leaders from across the Pacific. The Archdiocese of Agana is welcoming bishops and representatives from the Federation of Catholic Bishops’ Conferences of Oceania for its executive committee meeting, taking place May 18–20.

Newly-installed FCBCO president, Archbishop Ryan P. Jimenez, will lead the gathering alongside clergy and visiting delegates representing Oceania’s four episcopal conferences.

As part of the visit, the faithful are invited to an islandwide mass at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19 at the Dulce Nombre De Maria Cathedral-Basilica. Archbishop Jimenez assumed the FCBCO presidency on May 8, following the transition of Archbishop Anthony Randazzo, who stepped down after his appointment by Pope Leo XIV to a senior Vatican role.

The FCBCO brings together Catholic bishops from across Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, and the Pacific —strengthening collaboration on issues impacting the region’s faithful.
