A man who faces charges of child pornography now has a new felony charge against him for allegedly stealing a car while on pretrial release. 20-year-old Alexander Atalig Santos can now add theft of a motor vehicle as a second degree felony to his list of criminal charges.

According to court documents, the incident occurred on April 29 when Santos, who had asked for a ride to a massage parlor in the morning, allegedly stole the driver's car after the victim had stepped outside to check their tire. Court documents add that Santos was brought to police on May 13 by their relative, the stolen vehicle however, has yet to be recovered.

Santos is on pretrial release for charges of dissemination of child pornography as a 1st-degree felony and possession of child pornography as a 2nd-degree felony, and unlawful distribution of images as a misdemeanor. Santos was arrested last year for allegedly posting explicit images of the then-17-year-old victim.

As part of his trial conditions, Santos was under house arrest while under supervision of third-party custodians.

He was issued a warrant of arrest on April 30 after the custodians could not locate him at home or at their work.
