Guam - The Guam Election Commission is working with both respective political parties to fill in the number of precinct officials for the general election. Executive director Maria Pangelinan says both the Democratic and Republican parties need to submit at least 145 names of individuals to work on Election Day along with an appropriate number of alternates.
"It's a little bit difficult at this point and that's why they're going to start a whole new list to include people who worked the primary, but because Tuesday November 4 the day of the general election, is a workday, it will be difficult to bring back most of those people," she explained.
The deadline for both parties to submit names for precinct officials is on Friday, September 12.
