Guam - The Attorney General's Office is in the process of trying to determine if there were additional victims from last Tuesday's tragedy in Tumon. A fifteenth victim was identified in the indictment handed down by a superior court grand jury on Thursday afternoon.
While police and the hospital have repeatedly stated that there were fourteen victims from Chad De Soto's rampage, the indictment identifies a ninth stabbing victim, as Yoneko Uehara. Attorney General's Office spokesperson Carlina Charfauros says there is a possibility that there is a fifteenth victim and the agency is in the process of verifying the specific identities of the victims with the Japanese Consulate and the Guam Police Department.
Charfauros adding the AG's Office is still trying to determine if there are additional victims from the Tumon tragedy. Desoto is being held on $3 million cash bail and is scheduled to answer to three counts of aggravated murder and twelve counts of attempted aggravated murder next Wednesday.
When asked if there was an additional victim, the police department referred all inquiries back to the AG's Office.
