On Tuesday, senators Joe S. San Agustin and Dwayne T.D. San Nicolas officially filed their candidacy for governor and lieutenant governor of Guam at the Guam Election Commission, launching a campaign centered on accountability, transparency, and economic growth.
San Agustin, now serving his fifth term in the legislature, said the bid is a response to what he described as a public call for honest governance and leaders willing to make tough decisions. San Nicolas echoed that message, pledging to break down barriers, cut red tape, and ensure government works efficiently and fairly for residents.
Their platform highlights support for families struggling with housing and utilities, partnerships with mayors to reduce crime and drug abuse, modernization of government services, investment in education and healthcare, and policies aimed at creating higher-paying jobs while lowering the cost of living.
Campaigning under the slogan “Together We Can,” the team says it’s committed to what they call a new era of excellence in public service.
