In a powerful show of community partnership, four companies came together to deliver more than just boxes of food — they delivered hope. Conference tables at Westcare’s Sanctuary were lined with cases of instant noodles and overflowing banker’s boxes, nearly $2,500 worth of non-perishables collected to support Guam’s most vulnerable youth.

Several local companies Pacific Federal Management, Proferre Inc., Landscape Management Systems, and Vertex Guam teamed up to help with a donation drive.  Tiffany Quitugua is from the PFM marketing team, and said, "Across some of our employee engagement, we let them know- hey, we want to support Sanctuary, we want to support the community shelter that exists, it's something that the community really needs. So we did a call out and people came prepared."

Whether is was an entire case of noodles or one can of Spam, Quitugua says they really encouraged employees to bring what they could. And did they show up.  "We're really excited by the turnout," she said.

When she informed the Westcare Pacific Islands team she said they were delighted. "We did have do a donation of sanitary items and essentials, earlier in the year and we saw the potential that with a little more notice and collaboration, our team could do really big things. When Westcare found out that another donation was coming, they were pleased to hear and were excited to get these into the hands of the people who need it, especially the youth."

And her message to more local businesses to do small things, like this, with great love?

"Really anything that one can give is perfect. For our team we really encouraged them. One piece is plenty. That's more than we had yesterday. Any business that thinks they're too small to support, maybe their team is not big enough to make a real impact, we encourage people to just get together and do anything that they can that's enough," she said.
