A superior court judge has pushed back proceedings in the criminal sexual conduct case against Raymond Aguon Sanchez, with a new hearing scheduled for 9 a.m. on March 6 to determine a firm jury selection date.
Sanchez, who remains in custody on $20,000 cash bail, continues to assert his right to a speedy trial. The postponement stems from scheduling conflicts involving defense attorney Terrence Timblin, who is currently committed to other trials, making it difficult for the court to secure a confirmed start date.
Sanchez appeared before Superior Court Judge Maria Cenzon, who said the court is working to identify a date certain for jury selection once counsel’s availability allows.
He faces multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct involving three minor girls. Court documents indicate one complaint was first reported to police in 2019, with additional allegations brought forward in October 2025. He was arrested in december 2025 following the later reports.
If convicted on all charges, Sanchez could face up to 100 years in prison.
The court is expected to revisit the scheduling issue at the March 6 hearing.
