The monoclonal antibody treatment clinic at the Paseo stadium is now permanently closed.

The mAb treatment was used throughout the pandemic, helping high-risk residents fight off the severe symptoms of COVID-19.

It closed down due to the treatment, Bebtelovimab, no longer having emergency use authorization by the food and drug administration.

Though the infusion treatment was pulled, there are still other treatment alternatives available on island, according to Public Health's Grace Bordallo.

"We have two oral medications available and they’re available through a prescription from your physician or from a pharmacist and that’s the anti-viral oral tablets called Paxlovid or the antibody tablet called Molnupiravir," she said. "Those are the two alternatives that are available here in Guam as treatment for COVID-19."

To get one of the COVID pills, a prescription is needed from your primary care physician.

Public health urges anyone who feels sick or unwell, to get a COVID test right away, so they know whether or not they need the antiviral pill.
