Guam - The Guam Police Department and the Guam Office of Homeland Security wrapped up their Community Emergency Response Team Training session this week. Course instructor GPD Sergeant James Buccat says the five week training allowed them to teach Department of Education officials how to react during emergency situations, whether it be a school shooting or a natural disaster.

Said Buccat, "It involves fire safety, disaster medical operations, and patient assessment checking injuries, the other course is the fire extinguisher and then we light search and rescue and they're going to search for victims that may be trapped."   He added says anyone interested in taking the training can contact the Guam Homeland Security Office.
