Guam - Jurors in the ongoing cop trial, which is well into its fourth month now, are still on a break from deliberations.  Superior Court Judge Vern Perez postponed today's hearing until Wednesday, when he will hear from attorneys on any objections to the jury re-hearing testimony from Owen Moni, the government's key witness.

Moni contends he was brutally beaten by police officers while he and others were in custody at the Dededo Precinct last November.  But the witness also told a medic when he was taken to the hospital that he had been injured during a fight at a party that occurred earlier that day.  Moni had a ruptured spleen and needed emergency surgery to remain alive.

The jury will not continue deliberations until the judge makes a ruling on their request to hear a playback of Moni's testimony that is nearly nine hours long.
