A stolen vehicle pursuit through central and southern Guam ended Monday afternoon with an arrest in Talo’fo’fo’, according to court documents.
Police say officers spotted a stolen Mitsubishi Outlander speeding along Route 4 in Yona before the driver refused to stop, leading police past Ipan and toward Talo’fo’fo’. The complaint states the vehicle swerved into oncoming lanes, nearly colliding with other cars, and ran a red light before finally slowing and stopping near Jeff’s Pirates Cove.
31-year-old Jeremy James Duenas was taken into custody. Police say a search of the vehicle turned up a syringe and a glass pipe containing methamphetamine.
Duenas is charged with theft of an automobile, drug possession, eluding police, and reckless driving.
