GMHA recognizes pharmacists on National Pharmacist Day

Pharmacists at the Guam Memorial Hospital Authority in Tamuning were recognized Monday, in observance of National Pharmacist Day for their contributions to patient safety, medication management, and quality care.
GMHA pharmacists work closely with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure medications are safe, accurate, and effective for patients in every stage of care, from emergency treatment and critical care to recovery and discharge. “Our pharmacists care for patients in ways that are often unseen but deeply felt,” said GMHA interim chief executive officer and administrator Dr. Joleen Aguon, noting their focus, compassion, and constant vigilance directly impact patient well-being and healthcare teams.
The recognition follows the recent announcement that Dr. Nam T. Vo, PHARMD, a member of GMHA’s pharmacy team, was named Guam Pharmacist of the Year by the Guam Pharmacists Association.
GMHA thanked all pharmacists for their professionalism, dedication, and service.
