La Mae's Bake Shop cuts ribbon in Micronesia Mall Payless

This past weekend up in Dededo, the smells of delicious baked good wafed all around Payless, as the community came out to support the grand opening of La Mae's Bake Shop at the Micronesia Mall.
The new business is the passion project of Trisha Mae Marquez, a 23-year-old UOG who took her love of creating custom confectionary treats and turned it into a business plan!
"Thank you so much," Marquez announced. "We are so ovrwhelmed by the support that you are all showing us, we were not expecting this at all. We are so blessed to have you here with us. This all started from my home kitchen. It started as a creative outlet for me during COVID when I was feeling a lot of anxiety and I used this as a way to express my creative abilities while also showing love to the people in my life through baking and creating."
After cutting the ceremonial ribbon, the bakery opened, staffed by family and friends to the delight hungry customers.
Congrats, Trish!
