Man charged with burglary and theft of property in Inalahan
A 31-year-old man is facing felony charges after police say he broke into an Inalåhan home and stole thousands of dollars’ worth of property.
According to a magistrate’s complaint filed in superior court, Mark Francisco Quinata Taitague is charged with burglary and theft of property as second-degree felonies.
Police say officers were called to the home around 10:20 p.m. on December 20, where the homeowner reported missing car parts, tools, and other items valued at about $3,300. The victim identified Taitague as the suspect and later recovered some of the stolen property hidden under a canopy in a jungle area near the Inalåhan Pool.
Investigators say taitague admitted to breaking into the home the night before using a crowbar, taking items he planned to sell, and hiding some of them in the area. He was later located by the victim, arrested by police, and remains charged in the case.
