Governor Lou Leon Guerrero and Lieutenant Governor Josh Tenorio have a Christmas message to the island. Christmas on Guam has always been about connection and the small, familiar moments that remind us of home. It is the sound of kids laughing as they play in the yard, the smell of family recipes and fiesta favorites filling the table, and the easy comfort of knowing that our island family is always close, ready to share stories, laughter, and love.

"And for many of us, this season also reminds us of the story at the heart of Christmas. The birth of Jesus invites us to reflect on faith, compassion, and hope. It reminds us that miracles are real. And that inspiring others - that lighting up the world with love - are cornerstones of the life he led," said Leon Guerrero.

"That message is woven into the spirit of giving," said Tenorio. "Giving does not have to be grand to be meaningful. Sometimes it is a wrapped gift, but just as often it is a warm plate of food for a neighbor, a ride for someone who needs it, or a quiet moment spent visiting an elder. What matters is the heart behind it. Each act of kindness, no matter how simple, strengthens the bond we share as one community. This year, especially, we are reminded of the power of giving what we can. Maybe it is lending your time, offering support to a family facing challenges, or checking in on someone who could use a little holiday cheer. These thoughtful gestures bring comfort and hope, and they speak to the best of who we are as an island."

So as you gather with your loved ones, may your homes be filled with warmth, laughter, and moments that lift your spirits. Give what you can, share what you can, and hold close the blessings that come from community, faith, and togetherness.
