The University of Guam is set to celebrate its fanuchanan, or Fall 2025, commencement this Sunday, December 21, at the UOG Calvo Field House. A total of 198 students are expected to receive their degrees during the 2pm ceremony — including 134 bachelor’s degree recipients and 64 earning master’s degrees.

Pulitzer Prize–winning photojournalist and Guam native Manny Crisostomo will deliver the commencement address, marking his second time speaking at a UOG graduation. Crisostomo first served as commencement speaker in 1989 — the same year he earned journalism’s highest honor for his photo essay published in the Detroit Free Press.

The ceremony will also include the presentation of an honorary doctor of laws degree to international human rights lawyer and author Julian Aguon, recognized for his leadership in climate justice, indigenous rights, and decolonization across the Pacific.

Attendance to the ceremony is by ticket only, but the event will be livestreamed on the University of Guam’s YouTube channel and Facebook page for those watching from home.
