A community round table is set for Wednesday, focusing on the future governance of the Guam Department of Education.

Education oversight chair Senator Vince Borja is inviting community members, educators, parents, students, school staff, and other stakeholders to take part in the discussion.

The roundtable will explore whether authority over GDOE should shift to the Governor of Guam, a possible reevaluation of the Guam Education Board’s responsibilities, and potential amendments to the adequate education act—among other issues.

The discussion gets underway at 6pm in GDOE's Gallery Room on December 17.
