Guam Power Authority wins two more national American Public Power Association awards
For the second time this year, the Guam Power Authority has been recognized by the American Public Power Association, this time for excellence in communications.
Fifty-three public power utilities were honored at the APPA customer connections conference in Salt Lake City, where GPA received two major communications awards.
GPA was presented with the award of excellence for video for its lineworkers read aloud production, and the award of merit in web and social media for its community powered campaign.
The awards were accepted on behalf of GPA customers by CCU Commissioner Melvin Duenas, GPA Communications Manager Joyce Sayama, and Program Coordinator Joleen Cruz.
GPA leaders said the recognition reflects their ongoing commitment to clear and effective communication with the community.
