Taste of Guam at major Korean convenience stores in GVB partnership
The Guam Visitors Bureau is partnering with Korea’s largest convenience store chain, GS25, and digital payment giant Naver Pay to boost travel to Guam. All 18,000 GS25 stores nationwide are now selling limited-edition “Taste of Guam” meals, and buying them can enter customers into a nationwide giveaway.
Prizes include a Guam vacation package, round-trip tickets, hotel stays, and discount coupons, with Naver Pay offering cashback on purchases.
GVB president and CEO Regine Biscoe Lee says the campaign strengthens the island’s presence in the Korean market, adding, "We’re really glad and excited about the launch of this new branding we have with GS25 and Naver Pay, all throughout Korea. As many people may know, GS25 is one of the largest convenience stores. They have over 18,000 stores all over the country. So we’re really excited to bring this taste of Guam to all of their stores. Especially the ones in Incheon Airport are fully decked out in Guam branding. So it’s a great opportunity for us to reach the people of Korea where they live and work and give them a reminder that while it’s cold in Korea, we welcome them to the warm and sunny beaches of Guam and take a vacation with their families.
"So many different opportunities to get here on a number of different airlines. So we’re really looking forward for this investment in marketing to pay off and get many more customers to Guam."
In the meantime, Biscoe Lee adds with double0digit increases in arrivals recorded in September, October and leading into November in all of Guam’s main markets, she hopes this initiative helps keep the recovery momentum going into the new year.
