Guam and Taiwan are stepping into a new chapter of tourism collaboration following a major industry workshop held this week at Hotel Nikko Guam.

The Taiwan Tourism Administration, led by Deputy Director-General Huang Ho-ting, brought a delegation of key travel partners, including Edison Travel and Lion Travel, in coordination with the Taiwan Visitors Association.

Supported by the Guam Visitors Bureau and TECO Guam, the event highlighted new opportunities to boost two-way tourism.

Guam Visitors Bureau President Régine Biscoe Lee presented Guam’s unique offerings, while GVB members, from major hotels and resorts to visitor attractions, showcased their products to Taiwan’s leading travel agencies.

GVB Board Director Milton Morinaga emphasized the importance of strengthening ties and building a space for fresh ideas and renewed collaboration.

The Taiwan delegation also met with Governor Lou Leon Guerrero, GHRA, and TECO to discuss air connectivity, tourism promotion, sustainable tourism, and emerging markets.

Governor Leon Guerrero noted that the visit builds on her recent meeting with Taiwan President Lai Ching-te, reaffirming a shared commitment to revitalizing and expanding tourism between the two islands.

Both sides expressed strong interest in continued cooperation through route development, industry engagement, and sustainable tourism strategies.
