Kick off the holidays aboard the Gingerbread Express and a visit to Christmas Island

Hilton Guam Resort & Spa has officially ushered in the holiday season with the grand unveiling of its Gingerbread Express and the debut of Christmas Island, transforming the hotel lobby into a festive showcase of creativity and community spirit.
This year’s gingerbread express, crafted by pastry chef katie lusk and her culinary team, used over 150 pounds of flour, 80 pounds of molasses, and hundreds of handcrafted cookies with help from team members’ children.
The display features a USMC Toys for Tots train car, and proceeds from both the Gingerbread Express and Christmas Island will support the Todu Guam Foundation.
New this year is Christmas Island, a miniature world created by Anthony “Tony” Cruz of Mongmong.
Cruz said the display is built from the heart and dedicated to families and loved ones, with each handcrafted piece symbolizing community healing, resilience, and the spirit of togetherness during the holidays.
