Judiciary of Guam mourns the passing of Maria G. Fitzpatrick

The Judiciary of Guam is mourning the loss of Maria G. Fitzpatrick, a longtime public servant whose career spanned decades of dedicated work across the island’s justice system.
Chief Justice Robert J. Torres reflected on her legacy, calling Maria a steady and trusted presence who consistently answered the call when experience and sound judgment were needed most.
Her service included key roles at the Office of the Attorney General, the Public Defender Services Corporation, and later at the Judiciary as a Referee, Administrative Hearings Officer, justice pro tempore, and judge pro tempore.
Colleagues remember her for her humility, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to fairness.
