PPD skin test screening set for Jose Rios Middle School community

A person at Jose Rios Middle School has been diagnosed with active pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) by the Department of Public Health and Social Services’ Communicable Disease Control Clinic, according to a November 5th memo.
DPHSS says it will screen all identified close contacts—students and employees—to determine if any TB transmission occurred. The testing will be provided free of charge.
According to the notice, the TB (PPD) skin test will be conducted on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, from 8:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with PPD readings to follow on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, from 8:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Both will take place at the Jose Rios Middle School campus.
