WestCare offers relief for federal workers affected by shutdown

As the federal government shutdown continues to impact families across Guam, WestCare Pacific Islands is stepping up to provide critical relief for those affected. WPI says it recognizes the growing challenges faced by federal employees and households struggling with financial hardship during this uncertain time.
For a limited period, the organization is offering food pantry support, temporary financial assistance with rent, mortgage, or utilities for up to one month, and access to ongoing program services in housing, behavioral health, and family strengthening.
Eligible applicants will need to provide documentation to determine the level of assistance available. WPI encourages federal workers and families in need to reach out directly for help—or for community partners to share the information.
