4.8 earthquake recorded Wednesday afternoon

Did you feel it? A mid-day jolt was felt across parts of the island after a moderate earthquake struck near Dededo. The U.S. Geological Survey recorded the quake at a preliminary magnitude of 4.8 on the Richter Scale, centered about 3 kilometers west-northwest of Dededo at a depth of nearly 110 kilometers. It happened just after 1 o’clock this afternoon.
The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense are reminding everyone—when the ground shakes, “Drop, cover, and hold on” until the shaking stops.
