Help collect for holiday cheer boxes

In this week's Giving Every Tuesday, it’s a season of giving — and in the heart of Sinajana, the mayor’s office is spreading holiday cheer in the most meaningful way. Through their Holiday Cheer Boxes drive, they’re collecting non-perishable foods and hygiene items to help families who may be struggling this season. It’s a simple act of kindness that can bring comfort — and hope — to someone in need.
Sinajana mayor Robert Hofmann said, "During the holiday season, how can we help other people? we are really glad to partner with KUAM, and Giving Tuesday and we're excited they are helping to get the message out. we're accepting donations already we quietly without any fanfare, and bring it to these families."
Sponsored by the Sinajana Mayor’s Office And St. Jude Church, the initiative invites everyone to donate — from a can of soup to a bar of soap — because even small gestures can make a big difference.
"We partner with the church so during thanksgiving in the mass, people bring canned goods , the church brings it over to us, as we process it and they box it and put Christmas cards in there, during the holiday time, money gets really tight and they want to be able to give them a nice holiday season," said the mayor.
The holiday cheer boxes will go to families across the community who need a little extra support as the year comes to a close.
Donations can be dropped off at the Sinajana Mayor’s Office Monday through Friday from 8am to 12pm, and again from 1pm to 5pm.
As the mayor’s office reminds us — “any donation helps.” This season, let’s come together to fill these boxes — and hearts — with holiday cheer.
