Mount Carmel School celebrates United Nations Day with parade of nations, music, and cuisines

Mount Carmel School celebrated United Nations Day 2025 on Friday, Oct. 24, transforming its campus into a vibrant showcase filled with music, excitement, and dance.
Teachers and students represented 22 countries from across the globe, to include the country of Thailand represented proudly by the school’s MMA Coach DJ Jackson, MMA Marianas Open 2025 Champion, all highlighting the beauty of diversity and the spirit of international cooperation.
The celebration began with a lively Parade of Nations at 9 a.m., featuring students proudly waving their country’s flags and dressed in colorful traditional attire.
Presenting information about their country’s heritage and current social stance in the world. The courtyard came alive with the sound of the Anthems of each country represented, drums, melodies, and cheerful voices, as each class presented a cultural performance.
Adding to the festivities, families and students shared authentic dishes from around the world, allowing everyone to experience the flavors of different cultures.
Project Director Joyleen Suba expressed gratitude for the dedication of both teachers and parents, stating, “United Nations Day is one of our most meaningful school-wide events. It not only showcases our students’ talents and creativity but also instills in them the values of respect, global understanding, and cultural appreciation.”
