The murder trial of Nicholas Wayne Moore has been delayed once again, this time because one of his defense attorneys, David Lujan, remains hospitalized. Moore, accused of killing 27-year-old Michael Castro in 2020, appeared before Judge Maria Cenzon via Zoom for Friday’s status hearing. The judge set another hearing for October 29 to reassess when the trial can resume and jurors can be recalled. This isn’t the first time Lujan’s health has stalled one of Moore’s cases — his earlier Agana Heights shooting trial faced multiple postponements for the same reason, stretching proceedings for months.
