Guam Public Health and Hawaii Shriners Children collaborate to offer free orthopedic care for children

The Department of Public Health and Social Services announced that the Shriners Children’s Hawaii – Honolulu Medical Outreach Team will be back on Guam from Oct. 27 through Oct. 31, 2025.
Free consultations for children up to 17 years old who have orthopedic conditions, healed burns, or sports injuries will be provided.
Services will be available at the Northern Region Community Health Center in Dededo.
Referrals and Evaluations
- Children with the above listed conditions can be referred for an evaluation through DPHSS.
- A referral from a physician is not required
- Self-referrals are welcome
- Parents or legal guardians of new patients are required to complete an application prior to scheduling an appointment
How to Apply (New Patients)
Applications can be picked up at the Ran-Care Commercial Building Unit B5b 761 South Marine Corps Drive, Tamuning, Guam 96913 from 8:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Parents and guardians may also request for the application to be emailed.
Submit the completed application with:
- Child’s birth certificate
- Parent identification card
- Proof of legal guardianship, if applicable
Returning Patients:
Returning patients who were previously instructed to obtain x-rays should complete their x-rays before the appointment and bring the x-ray CD to the visit.
Physician orders for x-rays can be picked up at the Ran-Care Commercial Building address above.
Parents can contact Medical Social Services (MSS) staff to inquire if their child has an x-ray order.
