Port Authority of Guam kicks off Port Week 2025, celebrating 50 years of “Port Strong”

The Port Authority of Guam is celebrating a major milestone, “50 years of Port Strong!”
This year’s Port Week 2025 honors the people whose hard work and resilience keep Guam supplied and our region connected.
Since becoming an autonomous agency in 1975, the Port has evolved from modest beginnings into the island’s lifeline, powering the local economy, supporting Indo-Pacific operations, and ensuring the flow of goods even through global challenges.
The week begins with an opening ceremony on Monday, Oct. 20, followed by the Maritime Resilience & Innovation Summit on Wednesday, Oct. 22, featuring top regional leaders and experts.
The celebration wraps up with a Grand Finale and Employee Recognition Ceremony on October 25 at Leo Palace Resort.
