Guam Community College has officially kicked off the 3rd Regional Forensic Science Symposium, a three-day event bringing together forensic professionals, law enforcement, and students from across Guam and the region.

Hosted at the GCC Multipurpose Auditorium and presented by Friends of the Crime Lab, Inc., the symposium runs from October 15th to 17th, focusing on advancing forensic science through research, training, and collaboration.

Participants will dive into topics like crime scene investigation, DNA testing, digital forensics, laboratory safety, and ethics in criminal justice. Among the featured speakers is DNA expert Anjali Ranadive, who will share insights on forensic technology and the ethical challenges shaping modern investigations.

The symposium also gives GCC students in Criminal Justice, Forensic Science, and Public Safety a hands-on opportunity to learn from real-world professionals and strengthen their future career paths.

Through events like this, GCC continues to champion workforce development and regional partnerships that build a safer, stronger, and smarter Pacific.
