The Guam Department of Education is recognizing Tamuning Elementary School for making a significant improvement in its Public Health inspection, jumping from a score of 27/C last year to 18/B this year.

School administrators credit the success to the collective efforts of faculty, staff, parents, and community partners. They extended special thanks to Tamuning Mayor Louise Rivera and her staff, the GDOE facilities and maintenance division, and the school’s parent-teacher organization for their support.

The school also recognized the GDOE Safety Division and DPHSS inspectors for working closely with staff to ensure health and safety standards were met.

Officials say the improved score reflects the school community’s dedication to providing students with a clean, safe, and nurturing environment, one that continues to meet the highest standards for learning.
