GPD internal affairs investigation still ongoing

A criminal complaint was filed and an internal affairs investigation involving harassment and a female officer within the Guam Police Department. Chief of Police Stephen Ignacio said, "A complaint was filed by a female police officer against a male police officer. That administrative investigation is still ongoing.
"As far as the criminal investigation, it is running concurrently as well. We are going to be reaching out to the AG’s Office to consult with them regarding the criminal case and we’ll see how that goes and see if action—if anything—the AG’s Office needs to provide."
As KUAM News first reported, the case came to light at the beginning of September when concerns from rank and file brought it to our attention.
GPD spokesperson Norman Analista confirmed that a criminal complaint had been filed, and internal affairs launched an investigation. Analista added that further details cannot be shared to protect the privacy of all parties involved.
