Sobriety checkpoint set for Friday night

The Guam Police Department's Highway Patrol Division will be conducting a DWI sobriety checkpoint this Friday, October 3, beginning at 6pm. Officers will be setting up along Mrine Corps Drive— covering Yigo, Dededo, Tamuning, Asan, Piti and Hagåtña.
Alternate locations include Route 14 in Tamuning and Tumon, Route 4 from Hagåtña to Chalan Pago, Route 8 — the Purple Heart Highway, Route 10 — Veteran’s Highway in Barrigada and Mangilao, and Route 16 on Army Drive.
Police remind drivers to always wear their seatbelts, be alert, watch your speed, and most importantly — don’t drink and drive.
