Dr. Joleen Aguon named Interim CEO of Guam Memorial Hospital

The Guam Memorial Hospital Authority Board of Trustees has appointed Dr. Joleen M. Aguon as Hospital Administrator and Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective today.
Dr. Aguon, a respected pulmonary and critical care physician, brings both clinical expertise and administrative leadership, having served as COVID-19 Medical Director, Associate Administrator of Clinical Services, and in several medical directorships at GMHA.
Governor Lou Leon Guerrero praised Dr. Aguon’s “compassion and excellence,” while also extending deep gratitude to outgoing CEO Lillian Perez-Posadas, who recently retired after years of dedicated leadership, including steering GMH through some of its most challenging times.
“Every patient deserves safe, reliable, compassionate care. Every nurse, doctor, and employee deserves an environment where they can do their best work,” said Dr. Aguon.
Under her interim leadership, GMHA will continue its mission to strengthen operations, innovate in patient care, and build trust with the people of Guam.
