GRMC has reached a historic milestone by implementing Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, for the first time available to civilian patients on island.

This advanced dialysis treatment provides continuous blood filtration for critically ill patients who cannot tolerate traditional dialysis.

Previously, CRRT was only available at the U.S. Naval Hospital Guam for military members, veterans, and their families.

Through a landmark collaboration between GRMC and the Naval hospital’s intensive care unit, CRRT is now accessible to all critically ill patients, expanding Guam's capabilities in cardiac, stroke, trauma, and renal care.

GRMC leaders say this achievement shows the power of civilian-military partnership, delivering life-saving treatment and advancing world-class healthcare for the community and region.
