GDOE superintendent screening gets underway

As KUAM News has reported, today marks the Guam Education Board’s screening process for the seven applicants vying to become the next superintendent of the Guam Department of Education. GEB chair Angel Sablan confirming with KUAM that the screening began today at 1pm.
In a board meeting last Tuesday, Sablan noted that, after applicants submit all required documentation, the names of those deemed eligible will be made public by search committee chairperson Maria Gutierrez.
Among those who have publicly announced their bid for the role are former GDOE deputy superintendent Erika Cruz, current deputy superintendent of curriculum and instructional improvement Joe Sanchez, and acting deputy superintendent Dr. Barbara Adamos.
