Guam Power Authority has temporarily disabled its quick pay feature amid fraudulent credit card activity.

GPA announced that the quick pay option on paygpa.com and the GPWA mobile app has been disabled to enhance customer security.

The feature, which allowed payments with just an account number and billing zip code, was suspended after a high number of fraudulent transactions were detected.

General Manager John Benavente said the decision was made to protect customers and that new security features will be added before quick pay is restored.

Customers can still make secure payments online or through the mobile app by logging in with a username and password.

GPA encourages those who forgot their login to use the password reset feature or contact customer service for assistance.

GPA also reminds customers that it does not store financial information and does not charge convenience fees for online payments.

Tips to Protect Your Credit Card Information

  • Monitor your statements regularly. Watch for small, unexplained charges, which may signal that a card has been compromised.
  • Report suspicious charges immediately. Contact your card issuer immediately if you see unusual activity.
  • Keep your login information secure. Do not share account numbers, usernames, or passwords.

GPA remains committed to safeguarding customer accounts while providing convenient and reliable payment options, in line with its mission of Power to Serve.
